Formerly known as the
Guardian Angels Foundation

Guardianship Alliance New Mexico advocates for the highest quality of care for vulnerable persons who require the assistance of a legally-appointed decision maker. We educate family members, mental health professionals, legal professionals and care providers who serve individuals with mental impairments—such as dementia, mental illness, traumatic brain injury or developmental disability—as they work to care for others. We advocate for ethical standards and accountability in health care and fiduciary decision making. Guardianship Alliance New Mexico works to promote autonomy in the legal care of these vulnerable individuals, affordable access to the courts and guidance for guardians.

The Guardianship Alliance New Mexico has published the Guardianship and Conservatorship for Adults in New Mexico: A Decision-Maker's Manual, a resource for understanding guardianship and conservatorship rights and responsibilities.
